The Essex developed kits add 1 5/8" (or 3 to 3½" w/ Surefoot tires)
of lift, improved traction and stability that allows you
to take on rugged terrain that stopped you before. Our springs are
40% stronger than stock Mule springs (90% for cab models). These kits
are essential for increased clearance, better ride and handling. Together
with our line of SureFoot Kevlar belted tires you will have the best
combination of clearance, puncture resistance, payload, stability
and run-flat protection available.
Essex Replacement Springs keep the nose of the Kawasaki
Mule up and improve the ride and handling. This allows you to carry
more sizeable loads in rough terrain without bogging down the Mule.
Together the springs and Essex lift blocks provide 2" of additional
front clearance and accommodate oversize tires. The easy-to-install
kit retains the full movement of the strut and does not alter the
camber angle. The extended rear shackles stiffen the leaf springs
to improve clearance for the rear tires.
There are two spring gauges to choose from: the "S" is designed for
a stock Mule and the "C" is designed to accomodate the extra weight
of a cab and/or snowplow. All tire kits include springs, lift blocks
and your choice of Bigfoot Tires mounted on 12x7
ITP steel wheels. Silver of Black steel wheels are standard and Magnum
or Cast Aluminum wheels are optional.

Essex SureFoot. Based on the
proven 589MT tread pattern, this 6ply tire has been specially designed
and tested for today's heavy ATV and Utility Vehicles. Featuring run flat
performance with bullet-proof Kevlar puncture protection, 1190 lb load
rating (1115lb for the 25"), reinforced sidewalls for safe traversing
and 1 1/8" lugs that eat up any terrain yet run fairly smooth on
hard surfaces.
For
the less aggressive performance in mud, snow and rocks choose the 26"
Essex Surefoot tire.This 6ply tire has been specially
designed and tested for today's heavy ATV and Utility Vehicles. It features
bulletproof KEVLAR belting, 1150 lb load rating, reinforced sidewalls
for safe traversing and 5/8" lugs that have medium traction but are
very smooth running on turf and hard surface.

I mentioned to you how disappointed I was with the 2wd Mule. Any kind
of mud or wet uphills and I would stick it right now. You said that
4wd wasn’t really necessary but I thought perhaps that was just
a bit of salesmanship. Went out yesterday for the first time after the
kit was on just to see. We have had a bit of rain lately and it is pretty
muddy. Went to the place where I usually get stuck the easiest and went
thru without a problem. Then spent the next hour looking for the steepest.
